• The 描述description of 诛鬼Ghostbane says "你打算叫谁来？Who you gonna call?". This 是is a reference to the film Ghostbusters.
• The 描述description of the 铁制Iron and 钢巨斧Steel Greataxe says "Like the song says: careful with that 斧axe". This 是is a reference to the song Careful with that 斧axe, Eugene by Pink Floyd.
• The 描述description of the 星际旅者之戒Ring of the Star Traveller says "Useful for 全部all kind of galaxy hitchhikers". This 是is a reference to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Fittingly, the 魔力mana 价值value of this 物品item equals 42!
• In the 书book at the entrance to the Traitors 区域area of the 英雄陵墓Mausoleum, there 是is a text passage reading "战争War, 战争War never changes". This 是is a reference to the Fallout series.
• One of the password options for opening the 门door to the 特雷马丹塔Tower of Tremadan 是is "说出「梅隆」Say Mellon". This 是is a reference to the 书book and film The Lord of the 戒指Rings: The Fellowship of the 戒指Ring, in which the 巫师wizard Gandalf had to speak the Elvish word for "Friend", which was "Mellon", in order to open a magically-sealed 门door.
• One of the proposed character names during the initial dialogue of 世界是个大舞台The World is a Stage in 舞台新阿瑟尔湾New Anthur 是is "我是菠萝人！I am the Pineapple Man!". This 是is a reference to the comic Pineapple Man. The same line also appears when talking to the 守护魔像Guardian Golem in the 回声洞穴Cave of Echoes.
• In the 洛萨桑方舟Ark of Lothasan, each time 你you go to one of those frustrating computer terminals, 你you see that the operating systems 是is "ArcOS V3.1". This might be a reference to Windows 3.1, the version of Windows famous for the "screen of 死亡death". 当你被死亡机器人特工包围时，这再合适不过了。Appropriate when you are surrounded by robot agents of death.
• 我的小吞噬兽，作者：特蕾扎My Little Vorator, by Terezza 是is perhaps a reference to the toy line My Little Pony, with the main difference that ponies usually don't tend to be fearsome monsters who could 战槌maul 你you to 死亡death.
• The books in the 亡者的秘密Secrets of the Dead 任务quest might make 你you grin if 你you recognize the references:
  • The 描述description of 吸血鬼，传说Vampires, the Myth says "This 书book makes 否no sense. It just covers many complicated ways to throw a lot of dice". This 是is a reference to the tabletop RPG 吸血鬼Vampire: The Masquerade.
  • The 描述description of 论鬼魂与幽影Of Ghosts and Spectres says "In a surprising final twist, 全部all the protagonists of the 剧情story are alive". This 是is probably a reference to the film The Sixth Sense or The Others.
  • The 描述description of the 托拉西亚防腐秘典Tolassian Embalming Codex says "Everything 你you wanted to know about mummies but were too afraid to ask". This 是is a reference to the film Everything 你You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (But Were Afraid to Ask).
  • The 描述description for 论帝国死灵术On Imperial Necromancy says "如何制造骷髅并影响僵尸How to make Skeletons and influence Zombies." This 是is a reference to bestselling self-help 书book How to Win Friends and Influence People.

Character Naming

• Many characters in 新加兰德New Garand have their names borrowed from the band Pink Floyd, most notably 商人平克Trader Pink and 盔甲商弗洛伊德Armorer Floyd, but also 巴雷特Barret, 吉尔莫Gilmour, 安德鲁·梅森爵士Sir Andrew Mason, 沃特斯Waters, and 怀特船长Captain Wright, which refer to the band members Syd Barrett, David 吉尔莫Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger 沃特斯Waters, and Richard Wright, respectively. 新加兰德New Garand 是is a center of learning, with a major library and guilds, and here 是is the band that sung, "We don't need 否no education." Fittingly, 新加兰德New Garand 是is surrounded by a 墙壁wall, just like their album The 墙壁Wall.
• Likewise, the names of 香料商人杰思罗Spice Trader Jethro and 炼金术士图尔Alchemist Tull hint at the band Jethro Tull.
• Another inspiration seems to have been the band Camel. Not only lent their founder Andrew 拉蒂默Latimer his 名字name to 拉蒂默Latimer, but there are also references in the 任务quest 岁月的香料Spicing Things Up. The family 名字name of 弗里莎·莱亚德Fritha Rhayader appears as a song in their album The Snow Goose, which itself 是is referenced in the 描述description of the 拉亚德勋章Rhayader Medallion, "a curious and 远古ancient jewel, with the emblem of a white goose extending its wings". 感谢阿什伦·斯托巴指出这些对开发者音乐品味的洞察。Thanks to Asherun Storba for pointing out these insights into the developers' taste in music.

• Another source of inspiration has been the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov, from which 贤者阿马里尔Sage Amaryl, 主教贝塔Bishop Bayta, 铁匠多尼克Blacksmith Dornick, 商人哈丁Trader Hardin, 修士帕尔弗Brother Palver, 队长佩洛拉特Captain Pelorat, and 塞尔登Seldon in 尼瓦兰Nivarian received their names.
• Two 金手会Golden Hand Traders have their names reflecting their prices:
  • 商人奥拉克Trader Orac "Orac" 是is an anagram of Spanish "caro", which means expensive. 这反映了商人奥拉克以高出 8% 的价格出售（同时也收购）货物的实情。This reflects the fact that Trader Orac sells (but also buys) wares at 8% higher prices.
