Character 技能skills are what truly defines heroes: they are the abilities, actions and benefits that shape how your character plays, and in particular, how they will 战斗fight. 随着玩家在游戏中不断深入，所选择的技能及其间的协同，将决定你是取得史诗般的成功，还是遭遇惨淡的失败。As players progress through the game, their choice of skills and the synergy between them will be the difference between epic success and dismal failure. 技能Skill 点数points are relatively 限定limited so specialization 是is advised, for example a 战士Warrior would be advised to choose either 双手武器专精Two Handed Expert or 盾牌专精Shield Expert.
许多进阶技能都有属性、技能或阵营上的前置要求，满足后才能习得。Many advanced skills have trait, skill or faction prerequisites before they can be learned. Note that any such 特质trait prerequisites are evaluated without benefit of any 装备equipment bonuses; 你you need to be able to meet the requirement "naturally".
技能Skill Scores and 点数Points
Each 等级level, a character gains two 技能skill 点数points. These 技能skill 点数points can be used to raise 技能skill levels, that 是is, the actual 等级level of the 技能skill your character has. 每种技能都有各自的等级数（从2级到4级），且每级的成本各不相同。Each skill has its own number of levels (from 2 to 4) and different costs per level.

Resetting 技能Skill 点数points
- 你You can 重置reset your character's 技能skills and redistribute 技能skill 点数points by talking to an NPCNPC qualified to do so. 她们还可以重置属性点，或移除你的进阶技能。They can also reset trait points, or remove your advanced skills. 费用高昂，且每次重置都会递增。The cost is steep and escalates per reset.

Aside from the 技能skill 点数points gained by leveling up, there are a few additional 技能skill 点数points available within the 游戏game, including:

- Teaching the 预言者Oracle about magic inside the 洛萨桑方舟Ark of Lothasan
- Spending an extraordinary amount of 金币gold on visions at the 祭坛altar in 智慧大厅The Hall of Wisdom in 尼瓦兰Nivarian
- Reading the exceedingly 稀有rare Tomes of Lost 智慧Wisdom. One 是is readily 找到found on a 架子shelf in 科恩天文台遗址The Observatory, likely during the 任务quest 含冤受审Trial and Error, but available afterwards too if deferred. 全部All others in the 游戏game - 5 of them - are 找到found during the endgame challenge gauntlet 恐怖下水道The Sewer of Horrors, one dropped by each 首领boss within.
