Ancient Tolassian Tome

Ancient Tolassian Tome
“这本旧书几乎要化为尘土了。你只能读一次……但你愿意吗？This old book is almost crumbling to dust. You can only read it once... but do you want to?”
In-game text

背景Background

An extremely 稀有rare and very valuable 书book, these tomes are so old that they can only be read once before they crumble to dust and disappear from the player's 物品栏inventory. Their teachings will grant one 额外extra 特质trait point to the reader immediately upon 使用use, just as two (or 三神three) are given for leveling up. Note that they are for trait points only, not skill points, and there are no ways of using them to obtain skill points instead. You can use them on yourself or on your companion, depending on whose inventory is open when you read it, but only the reader gains the point, not both.

They can be found in hidden libraries located in ancient tombs of the long dead Tolassians. These books will almost always be stored upon bookshelves that are guarded by special Librarian enemies, who are particularly strong, and within rooms that are behind secret doors. Otherwise they are in the possession of extremely powerful magical entities such as the 远古ancient 龙Dragons, 墨西亚诸王Mercian Kings, and 巫妖Liches.

Note that while certain fixed 敌人enemies that 你you defeat only once (such as 修道院长The Abbot) are guaranteed to 丢弃drop a 典籍tome once and only once, rumor 首领boss 龙dragons (such as a 白龙White Dragon), plus 24 其他other non-再生recurring 首领bosses, have a very low probability of dropping a 典籍tome - roughly 0.3% or 1-in-300. Getting a tome from a rumor boss is like winning the jackpot in the Exiled Kingdoms lottery. Enjoy it if it happens, but if 你you expect it to happen, 你you will be disappointed.

This 是is an 罕见Uncommon 物品item, a 稀有rare 丢弃drop or 可获得obtainable from 阵营faction specific 商人merchants.
