- This 是is an inferno, 你you 拾取take 火焰fire 伤害damage continuously the whole time 你you're in the 区域area. 你需要很高的火焰抗性才能活下来。You need high fire resistance to survive.
- If 你you didn't bring along a dozen or so 高级Greater 药水Potions of 抵抗Resist 火焰Fire from 商人merchants in 尼瓦兰Nivarian or 冰雾堡Icemist, 你you'll be wondering why not. 不过幸运的是，入口东边不远处的宝箱（如果你往那边走，远西北和东南角也有宝箱）每个都装有 3 瓶这种药水。But luckily the chest just east of the entrance (and chests at far northwest and southeast, if you wander that way) contain 3 of those each.
- The lava rivers deal much much higher 伤害damage rates than the 背景background air, and 拾取take 你you from "barely keeping it together" to "fried cajun-style" with remarkable 速度speed. To travel down the one 火焰fire river that 你you unfortunately need to go through to 离开leave this joint, a little 迅捷药水Potion of Speed will help keep 躯干body and soul together (or even 高级迅捷药剂Greater Potion of Speed - if 你you've saved them, this 是is a great spot to 使用use them). 而且那条河的边缘有些地方，你可以在需要时停下来回血。And there are spots along the edges of that river where you can pause to heal if needed. 千辛万苦走到这里，却在终点近在眼前时死于环境危害，那可就太可惜了，不是吗？It would be a shame to have made it all this way and then die to an environmental hazard with the end in sight, wouldn't it?
- 会刷新的火焰元素都在要塞外面，并以某种随机的方式散布在区域的其他部分。The respawning Fire Elementals are all outside the Citadel, and are somewhat randomly scattered in the rest of the area. 要塞内没有任何东西会刷新。Nothing respawns inside the Citadel.
- 全部All 敌人enemies in this 等级level are 外来者Outsiders, and thus 拾取take 额外伤害extra damage from 放逐武器Banishing Weapons. The 额外伤害extra damage dealt by 冰霜武器Cold Weapons, meanwhile, ranges from +100% (Fire 元素Elementals) to +50% (the 恶魔Demons) to 0% (the two 首领bosses), so for those 首领bosses 你you may actually prefer something like 精金Adamantite 武器weapons, or the 冲击法杖Staff of Impact.
- 穿过通往玄武岩要塞的大门时，会加载一个新的子区域，就像进入一座城市一样。When passing through the door to the Basalt Citadel, it loads a new sub-area as if you were entering a city. This means anything chasing 你you beforehand (including the 大恶魔Greater Demon guarding the entrance) does not follow 你you into the citadel.
- Beating the 坑主Lord of the Pit 是is not necessary for taking the portal 返回back to safety. However, he does 丢弃drop a 失落智慧之书Tome of Lost Wisdom, if 你you have enough left in the tank by this point to beat him.
- If 你you are able to 召唤summon Fire 元素Elementals, perhaps by using 卷轴：召唤火焰元素Scroll: Summon Fire Elemental, they make great 伤害damage mops: they will be continuously healed by every 敌人enemy in this 区域area, and even moreso if they can stand in the lava river, so they can be nearly invincible. They can't deal 伤害damage, mind 你you (indeed, they 治疗heal the 敌人enemies), but they can distract 敌人enemy attention very ably, to enable 你you to divide and conquer (or run).
