声望Reputation grants or denies players access to activities involving 阵营Factions. This access may come in a variety of forms, from 任务Quests to shopping to travel using boats or teleporters. 声望Reputation 是is displayed on the 角色面板Character Sheet.
If your 声望reputation 是is negative, a 市政厅Town Hall in that locality will offer 你you the option to whitewash your 声望reputation by "paying a fine", generally 800 金币gold 魅力per 声望reputation point restored.
If 你与your reputation with a given 阵营faction reaches -20 or below, members of that 阵营faction will 攻击attack 你you on sight! 这意味着你不再能与该阵营的 NPC 互动，无论是接任务、买卖还是其他。This means that you can no longer interact with the NPCs of that faction, for quests, buying/selling, etc. 这适用于你可能造访的任何城市、城镇或王国的“守卫”，他们平时大概只是无所事事地站着，除非有敌人靠近。This applies to the "Guard" of any city, town or kingdom you might be visiting, who otherwise are probably just standing around unless an enemy wanders near.

声望Reputation Changes
The following list provides an overview on 全部all 声望Reputation changes in the 游戏game.
The list 是is under construction, but at the moment contains 全部all changes affecting 声望reputation with 伊尔马拉Ilmara (principally to help unlock the 任务quest 陨落之神The Dead God), and with the 瓦兰纳里Varannari (principally to help with getting access to 任务quest resolutions for 军团最后的将士Last of the Legion). 除了这两者之外，很少有其他阵营会对游戏进度构成实质性的限制——前提是你不无谓地挑衅、杀害城镇守卫等。Few other factions provide a meaningful constraint on game progress besides those two, assuming you don't pick fights unnecessarily, kill town guards and the like.
